Die Sache ist banal, aber wie alles heute ist sie weltweit banal: In 48 Stunden (nein keine Neuauflage des Films) werden Spiele produziert und diese entstehen rund um die Welt. Diese Veranstaltung, die es erst seit 2008 gibt, hat in den letzten Jahren viele Anhänger gefunden. Und so ist es dieses Jahr auch in Zürich soweit: Es darf erzählt, gestaltet und mitprogrammiert werden. Dabei hängt das fertige Spiel immer wie eine Karrote vor der Nase. Dabei ist der Zeitraum des Happenings natürlich amerikanisch, wie sollte es auch anders sein: Es beginnt hier um 17.oo Uhr am Freitag Abend und endet dann am Sonntag 17.oo (Montag in den USA). Und es geht natürlich ums „Event“.
Der GlobalGameJam findet dieses Jahr in Zürich im Dock18 statt. Dock18 ist ein Off-Raum in der roten Fabrik, der dieses Jahr das Ganze organisiert und den Raum für die 48 Stunden zur Verfügung stellt.
Was ist wichtig zu wissen: Als Teilnehmer muss man einem Ort zugeordnet sein. Wer also mitmachen möchte muss sich 1. Registrieren (als User) und sich dann 2. sich einem Ort zuteilen dock 18 (im Profile) . (Orte könnten auch selbst generiert werden, wer also seine WG zu einem Ort machen möchte kann das, er sollte es aber bald tun.)
Wer zwischendrin schlafen geht, nur einen Tag Zeit hat oder einfach nur mal reinschauen will, ist natürlich auch herzlich eingeladen!
